Personal Development
Cultural Capital
At Marsh Lane Primary School, we understand the significance of Cultural Capital and personal development in shaping a child's journey towards success and fulfilment. Cultural Capital encompasses the wealth of knowledge, behaviours, and skills acquired through diverse experiences and opportunities over time. It empowers children to demonstrate cultural awareness, competence, and readiness for societal, academic, and professional endeavours.
Cultural Capital serves as a formidable tool, granting children the ability to achieve their aspirations, excel in various domains, and ascend the social hierarchy, irrespective of their financial resources.
We are committed to providing our students with enriching and continuous opportunities for holistic development, acknowledging that a well-rounded education extends beyond academic achievements. At Marsh Lane Primary School, we recognise six key areas of development that collectively contribute to a child's Cultural Capital:
1. Personal Development
2. Social Development
3. Physical Development
4. Spiritual Development
5. Moral Development
6. Cultural Development
